Hockey On Your Block is more than a
youth hockey program. It's a game changer.
Hockey On Your Block provides ice time, equipment and coaching to help kids learn essential life skills through the core values of hockey: sportsmanship, perseverance and teamwork
ABOUT HOCKEY ON YOUR BLOCK
How We Teach Hockey
We teach boys and girls from grades K-8 who already know how to ice skate the fundamentals of the greatest game on the planet. Our USA Hockey certified coaches teach speed, agility and the mental toughness that hockey players need to be great at their game.
Hockey Directors Blake Sorensen and Caitlin Cahow, developed a four-tiered progression plan so kids can continue to improve:
starting, forward movements and backwards skating
puck control, passing, shooting and scoring
gain experience playing the game
play exhibition games throughout Chicagoland
